Columbia Psychiatry offers help and hope to thousands of patients and families each year who are challenged by mental illnesses including autism, eating disorders, depression, severe anxiety, schizophrenia, and substance abuse. Our clinicians and researchers have pioneered innovative new treatments that set a new standard of care for the field. Taking a public health approach, Columbia Psychiatry also serves the mental health needs of our community in Washington Heights, greater New York City, and beyond. We work with neighborhood public schools to assist over 1,000 youth annually, through early identification and assessment, crisis counseling, and treatment.

Why are donations necessary?

Much of our progress is the result of the foresight, commitment, and dedication of our contributors. The Frontier Fund is the annual fund of Columbia Psychiatry and provides critical support for our core mission. The name is inspired by the brain itself—one of the last true frontiers of exploration and discovery, and the focus of our vital research at Columbia Psychiatry.
