Description

Notre Dame’s American Society of Civil Engineers provides students studying both Civil and Environmental Engineering with opportunities for education, professional development, service, and fellowship. Every year, ASCE members participate in Concrete Canoe and Steel Bridge competitions, networking activities, construction firm/site tours, and service opportunities. This past year, the Concrete Canoe team finished in 3rd place at the GLSC Regional Conference—the best in Notre Dame’s history—as well as performing admirably in Steel Bridge, Environmental Design, and the other competitions offered. Just a small donation of $10 will help us to continue to provide for Civil and Environmental Engineering students with these incredible opportunities.

Donations are applied to...

Participation in the multitude of activities! Our annual Chicago Field Trip which provides students with the opportunity to visit active construction sites to see for themselves what the product of their hard work will be once they enter industry. The ASCE GLSC Conference where students compete in Concrete Canoe, Steel Bridge, and many other competitions. Helping those in need paired with Servants at Work. These activities are not possible without the generosity of our donors!

American Society of Civil Engineers, University of Notre Dame Student Chapter (ASCE)

ASCE ND does a lot of great activities, and we want to make them even better. Our goals for next year include sending at least 35 students to conference to participate in a variety of competitions, continuing to improve our Steel Bridge and Concrete Canoe teams, participating in service projects in the South Bend community, and hosting professional development activities for our members.

Why are donations necessary?

Notre Dame Day is a fantastic way for everyone to celebrate Notre Dame, and for our club to raise money. With your help, we can continue all of the great activities that we do, such as going to the Great Lakes Student Chapter Conference, creating professional development opportunities, field trips to Chicago to visit companies, participating in events like Science Alive!, and participating in service projects in South Bend. We also support our Concrete Canoe and Steel Bridge teams that compete at conference, where our Canoe team won third place this year.
