Support Columbia Athletics

In honor of Bill Campbell's '62CC incredible contributions and to ensure that his vision of a championship-caliber athletics program continues to be realized, University Trustees Philip Milstein ’71CC and Jonathan Schiller ’69CC, along with other University Trustees, committed over $1,000,000 to create a new endowment, the Campbell Championship Fund. Over his lifetime, Bill gave to over 50 distinct Athletics initiatives toward the goal of creating winning programs; in some years, his financial support represented more than half of Columbia Athletics’ fundraised total. The Campbell Championship Fund is a meaningful way to honor his legacy.

Campbell Championship Fund

Your gift to the Campbell Championship Fund supports the top priorities of Columbia Athletics, with the goal of building championship programs and championship experiences for all our student-athletes.

Where does the money go?

The Campbell Championship Fund is a flexible endowment that will support the top priorities of Columbia Athletics, at the discretion of the Campbell Family Director of Athletics. Invested alongside the powerful Columbia University endowment, it will provide annual spendable income that will directly enhance the experience of over 700 student-athletes competing for Columbia and propel critical enhancements to individual sports programs as well as the program as a whole.

Bill Campbell wanted the best for all of our sports programs, and supported all of Columbia Athletics accordingly. This fund supports his long-term vision, and will do so in perpetuity.

Why donate?

Donations from alumni, parents, and friends enable this endowment to grow and increase its long-term impact on the entire Athletics department. With your support, we are working to fulfill our commitments to winning, the personal success and well-being of our student-athletes, and the Columbia community.
