In order for Rutgers to actively compete in the Big Ten we need to have facilities that can compete in the Big Ten. The Rutgers Build Fund has been set up to do just that. $100M to upgrade &/or build new facilities across ALL of athletics to provide our student athletes with the best possible facilities we can. Little more than a year ago Pat Hobbs promised that facilities would be his top priority. He needs our help to fully deliver on that promise.

To fulfill this objective, Rutgers Athletics is embarking on R Big Ten Build, a targeted campaign to raise $100 million for new or upgraded athletic facilities for our B1G sports programs. In an effort to drive this campaign, Rutgers Athletics will utilize its human capital by implementing a grassroots fundraising initiative. The Captains Program will call upon the entire Rutgers community to be “#AllIn” and become ambassadors for Rutgers Athletics.
Personal Message
If you build it they will come. Like Kevin Costner in "Field of Dreams", Pat Hobbs knows that if Rutgers builds premier facilities then premier student athletes will come to Rutgers. I am not a Rutgers alumni, but I am a self appointed cheerleader for all things Rutgers and I know that we need to improve our athletic facilities across the board to be able to compete in the Big Ten. Why we need your help...
•$100 million is A LOT of money! •We cannot do it on our own •YOU KNOW PEOPLE! You know people who LOVE Rutgers. They may include former teammates, fraternity brothers, sorority sisters, tailgating friends, and co-workers •We need you to help raise awareness about R Big Ten Build. Your role is to educate our fans, your friends, about the importance of “supporting” their team •Using your network and the communication tools of email, web, social media, and peer to peer interaction, you will help us reach our goal. BECAUSE OUR STUDENT ATHLETES DESERVE THE BEST FACILITIES WE CAN GIVE THEM TO MAKE THEM SUCCESSFUL.
