Transforming Students. Join with us as we invite students to use their time at Xavier to wrestle with the big questions, discover their purpose, grow their faith, develop authentic and deep relationships, build community, seek solidarity, struggle for justice and, overall--work together towards a better world. We do this through a wide variety of retreats; faith communities from 10 pm Mass, Gospel Choir, Jumaa, and more; relationship-based service varying among weekly, immersive and internship experiences; and intentional, constructive engagement with difference. Your support makes you a part of the CFJ family.
By giving to the CFJ, you fund retreats and retreat scholarships; Dorothy Day Immersions; two part-time staff positions, and keep us on the leading edge of the work we do.
The CFJ has grown since our inception in two big ways--scaling our work to be able to offer it to more students, and addressing our mission in new ways. Through the support of this fund, . We more deeply integrate faith and justice through winter break trips--Dorothy Day Immersions--that invite students on a longer journey of building lives out of these values. Approach, GetAway and Encounter are growing, while we are also able to offer collaborative and shorter retreats like a Men's Retreat, a Women's Day and a Cross Cultural Retreat. We can provide more support to more students in their own faith tradition through new staff positions. Giving keeps us growing, not just in the number of students we serve, but in the breadth and depth of the work we can do.
