The Charles Widger School of Law provides a legal education grounded in academic rigor, practical hands-on training and a foundation in business. Villanova Law offers six in-house legal clinics and more than 150 externship opportunities that immerse students in the real-world application of their legal skills.
Your gift on 1842 Day can support one or more of the following areas at the Law School:
• Fund for Villanova Law: Gifts made to this unrestricted fund are used to support the Law School’s operating expenses, including financial aid for students, curricular innovations, clinical opportunities, and much more.
• Clinical Programs: Through the Law School’s seven clinical courses, students gain real-world legal experience while helping those in need.
• Law School General Scholarship Fund: Scholarship aid enables the Law School to attract and retain the best and the brightest students, ensuring that we continue to mentor and mold the leaders of tomorrow.
• Walter A. Lucas ’88 Public Interest Fellowship Program: This program provides financial support to Villanova Law students who spend their summers working with various public interest organizations to deliver volunteer legal services to those in need.
1842 Day is Villanova's first-ever day of giving. This is our opportunity to show pride and gratitude for the impact Villanova has on each of us, in our communities and around the world. Alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends—let's make a difference TOGETHER!
