What is #GivingTuesday?
#GivingTuesday kicks off the annual holiday giving season on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, following the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The goal is to inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

The #GivingTuesday $25,000 Matching Gift Challenge
Last year a local contributor agreed to match all gifts made to CMU on #GivingTuesday, up to $25,000. Alumni, friends, faculty and staff joined together to raise $43,220 from 96 donors and earned the $25,000 match.
This same local contributor has challenged CMU to do it again this year! All gifts made to Central Methodist University on Tuesday, November 29, will be matched dollar-for-dollar with a gift to the Central Annual Scholarship Fund, up to $25,000.

THE 1854 SOCIETY
Members of the 1854 Society support the Central Annual Scholarship fund with an annual gift of $1,000 or more. Members are invited to exclusive events and round-table discussions with President Drake. 1854 Society members also receive The Societas newsletter. The 1854 Society is comprised of a group of individuals that are committed to Central's success.
