About 1842 Day
1842 Day is Villanova's first-ever day of giving. This is our opportunity to show pride and gratitude for the impact Villanova has on each of us, in our communities and around the world. Alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends—let's make a difference TOGETHER!
Our Goal
We need your help to reach 1,842 donors in 1,842 minutes, between 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19 and 6:42 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20 (EDT). Whether you give $5, $175 or $1,842, your generosity will count toward achieving our goal.
Falvey Memorial Library
Located at the heart of Main Campus, Falvey Memorial Library is an interdisciplinary academic hub for the Villanova University community. The library has undergone several recent renovations, made possible through donor support. These include the Dugan Polk Family Reading Room, a stunning 24/7 quiet study space; the Learning Commons, housing academic resources like the Writing Center and the Math Center; the Villanova CAVE, a virtual reality environment; and the Idea Accelerator, home to the ICE Institute.
In addition to physical renovations made to the building, the library’s services and resources are ever-evolving. Villanova must constantly expand its print, electronic and audiovisual collections to support the learning and research activities of today’s students and faculty. Your gift on 1842 Day will help to enhance the Library’s collections, which will benefit students and faculty for generations to come.
