The LIVE Notre Dame Day broadcast will kick-off at 18:42 pm ET (6:42 pm ET) on April 24 at NOTREDAMEDAY.ND.EDU. The 29-hour broadcast will showcase Notre Dame stories from around the world, as well as live interviews, special musical performances, remotes, in-studio performances and surprise celebrity guests. In January 2017, we will be traveling to Panama to provide micro-enterprise counseling, financial planning assistance and strategic investment. During our brigade, we will divide into small groups to conduct client visits in which they get to know the client and assess each client’s level of financial competency, entrepreneurial aspirations, and/or business knowledge. We will then provide educational and capacity building assistance in the form of workshops, with topics ranging from basic accounting to personal finance and business planning.
Global Business Brigade
Global Brigades is a secular, international student-operated volunteer organization whose mission is to provide sustainable development to underserved communities throughout the world. Along with affiliate groups at other distinguished universities, the business sector at Notre Dame recruits student volunteers and professionals, gathers supplies, and then travels overseas to set up, design, and help implement small business plans, provide access to loans, savings, and financial literacy.
