We are the Notre Dame Habitat for Humanity Student Chapter. The longest running student chapter in the country. We have built a house for a local St Joseph County, IN family every one of the last 21 years. We build on the job site almost every Saturday during the school year, and take a service trip to another Habitat for Humanity affiliate during spring break. We love what we do with Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County, building strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter.

The money will be applied directly to the cost of building materials for next years house. During this exciting time, we have the unique opportunity to earn OUR portion of $1 Million!! Make a $10 gift on Notre Dame Day (April 24 – 25), and receive 5 votes to cast. The total number of votes we receive decides our percentage of the $1 Million. Please vote for us!
Habitat for Humanity, Notre Dame
We are excited to announce our participation in Notre Dame Day, when the global Notre Dame family will come together to celebrate what each of us loves most about the University. At Habitat, we provide funds and volunteers for a house that we will help to build for a local South Bend family. Habitat provides families with a loan for the house being built for them. This family will pay back the cost of the house through an affordable payment plan that Habitat provides, making the the purchase of a house much easier and more affordable for those who need it. These families also put in hours working on their house and other affiliate houses, as well as go take courses on how to manage their home and finances. It truly is a hand up, not a hand out!
Why are donations necessary?
The University has a limited amount of money they can give us, and fundraising events will only provide a portion of the money we need to fund materials and services necessary to build a home for a local South Bend family. These donations will go directly to covering materials costs for the house next year.
