Why we need your support:

Like many organizations here on campus, we are completely student-led, which means we are responsible for raising most of the funds to operate each year. On average, our annual luau has more than 400 attendees. Planning such a large event provides student club members with experience in coordination, budgeting, and collaboration toward a common goal. We are passionate about sharing the annual HPIC Luau with the GU community and hope that you'll join us. Mahalo!

Our Goal:

We need to raise $5,000 to cover the costs of the event space (the Hemmingson Ballroom), food, decorations, fresh flowers, and more. Luau is simply not possible without the help of our wonderful club members, families, the GU community, alumni, and people like you. In order to pull off an event of this magnitude, the Hawaii Pacific Islander Club at Gonzaga needs support!

Help us host the 2018 luau

Each year HPIC has the honor of hosting the largest student-run event on campus. The HPIC luau includes a traditional Hawaiian buffet, hula dance performances, crowd interaction, learning opportunities, and activities that help bridge together the Gonzaga community and Hawaiian culture. The hula dances are rehearsed months in advance and are performed by our very own club members.

We are HPIC

Aloha! We are the Hawaii Pacific Islander Club (HPIC) at Gonzaga. We seek to educate, provide support, and foster community. We create an identity and "home away from home" for many Zags from Hawaii. Our club's goal is to be positive representatives of the Polynesian culture at Gonzaga and in the Spokane community. Learn more our HPIC family here.
