Description
Hesburgh's Heroes is a social service club at Notre Dame that works to raise funds and awareness for Andean Health and Development, a healthcare organization founded by Father Ted Hesburgh and Dr. David Gaus (ND '84) that provides quality, sustainable healthcare to rural Ecuador. We support AHD in any way we can and have a ton of fun in the process!
Donations are applied to...
During this exciting time, we have the unique opportunity to earn a portion of $1 Million! Make a $10 gift on Notre Dame Day and receive 5 votes to cast. The total number of votes we receive decides our percentage of the $1 Million. Funds raised will be donated to AHD to be used how they best see fit, whether that be for new medical equipment, training the rural health care leaders of tomorrow, or any other means of providing sustainable healthcare to even the poorest of the poor.
Hesburgh's Heroes
We are so excited to participate in Notre Dame Day, as it gives us the chance to support AHD in an even more impactful way! More than this, we are honored to be able to carry on Father Hesburgh's legacy of social justice, and invite you to join us with your support on Notre Dame Day.
Why are donations necessary?
Due to the school's limited budget and the tremendous amount of clubs on campus, allocations to clubs are extremely limited. Our club is the only club on campus to support the only rural health provider in Latin America that delivers quality care based on a proven model of self-sufficiency. Your donations give our club the chance to raise even more funds and on-campus awareness for AHD to continue its mission!
