I am in my mid 30's and I am overweight. I currently weigh 319.3 pounds and have suffered from Crohn's disease for almost 20 years. In May of last year, I had to have surgery to try and alleviate my symptoms. I am happy to report that the surgery has relieved me of many of my symptoms. Now that I am healthier and my crohn's disease is in remission, my goal is to lose weight and live a healthier life. Instead of just losing weight I am challenging friends, family and community to donate based on a set amount or per pound to the SMC Alumni - Santa Monica College (Official) My first goal is to lose 30 pounds by my Birthday, which is May 27th . I am asking my friends and supporters to challenge me to lose this weight by donating to a great cause. Please indicate in the comments of www.facebook.com/loseweightdonatefeelgreat if you will be doing a set amount or a dollar amount per pound. If you choose the dollar amount per pound please specify up to how many pounds you pledge (In case I lose more than 30 during my initial goal). All donations are tax deductible when you fulfill the pledge to the SMC Alumni Association. Then on May 27th, when I do my goal weigh-in, I will list all the donors on the Facebook page www.facebook.com/loseweightdonatefeelgreat and direct them to this website . Leading up to my birthday, I will post updates on my progress, including my diet, exercises as well as the brutally honest positives and negatives of this journey. I will also do a weigh-in every two weeks. I thank you all very much for this support and for supporting the Santa Monica College Alumni Association. I also highly encourage you to visit the SMC Alumni Association alumni.fund.smc.edu for more information regarding alumni services!
