Tim and Dianne Hahn have an appreciation for hard work, determination and achieving dreams. These are the values they instilled in their son Kyle. He excelled in football during his high school years and wanted to play at the next level. Kyle was a walk-on at NCAA Division II Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU) and worked hard to be a good Mustang teammate. In 2013, Kyle was part of the first-ever SMSU football team to qualify for a bowl game. In November 2016, Kyle was involved in a motorcycle accident that took his life far too soon.

Kyle started playing tackle football in the 6th grade and it was a very important part of his and his parents' lives. Kyle was a proud member of the SMSU Mustang family. This scholarship assists Mustang football student-athletes pursue their goals.
