Donations are applied to...
We have the opportunity to earn a portion of a $1 Million! Make a $10 gift on Notre Dame Day and receive 5 votes to cast. Each additional gift (minimum of $10) will receive only 1 vote per gift. The total number of votes we receive decides our percentage of the $1 Million. Last year we were able to raise just over $1,500. Our goal as a club is to raise $5,000, please vote for us!
Lacrosse Team of Notre Dame, Women's Club
We are a competitive club team for Notre Dame women who wish to continue playing lacrosse in college. This past season, the team consisted of 26 players across all years. We are currently completely student run but we hope to hire a coach within the next two years. Our players have experience playing in high school, but all skill levels are encouraged to try out. We have an informal fall season with weekly practices and a few tournaments. During the spring semester, we practice twice a week for two hours and have a full game schedule beginning after spring break. We compete in the Division I North Region of the WCLL against other universities and colleges in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan. We have made it to regional playoffs the past 4 years, narrowly missing the cutoff for the national tournament this past 2017 season. Why are donations necessary?
As a four year-old club, we are still growing and shaping our program. While we play the best competition we can in the surrounding Midwest area, our hope is to play teams from across the US. This involves travel, lodging, and tournament fees among other things that are paid for by the club. We are also in the process of finding a coach to bring our team to the next level. Any donations from ND Day will go towards enabling the team to compete with the best of the best in women's club lacrosse across the nation. The donations from last year's ND Day allowed the team to travel to University of Pittsburgh to play four top 20 ranked teams.
