Your gift will support the annual cost of rent for a lab in the Macomb-OU Incubator, as well as the Beeline-to-Commercialization service package, which can provide expert assistance, a business advisory board, capital assistance, and other great benefits to our innovative faculty and researchers.
Support the Faculty Tech Development Landing Lab
In order to provide a new and exciting opportunity for our OU faculty and their research and development, we graciously request your support. Our campaign designates an entire office and entrepreneurial-support programming to assist with exploring commercialization. The program will last 12 months and will be housed within the Macomb-OU Incubator at the Velocity Collaboration Center (Sterling Heights, Michigan). This fully-furnished room (967 sq. ft.) will provide our faculty an off-campus location to explore the entrepreneurial value of their research. This package includes access to our Beeline-to-Commercialization (B2C) program. Faculty will have the opportunity to choose the best path for their unique needs from the suite of services within the B2C program including Business Advisory Boards or Mentors, capital assistance, Experts-in-Residence, and Pitch-Prep assessments. Innovative faculty will also benefit from the numerous networking opportunities, business development programming and seminars, and access to State of Michigan resources.
Why are donations necessary?
The total needed to secure this valuable space and services for our OU faculty is approximately $12,034.00. Your donation will allow our faculty to continue their research in a new, advantageous space, which will provide services and technology beyond the main campus. This will not only provide opportunity for faculty, but also real-world research opportunities for associated students.
