Mark Goris, our classmate and comrade was tragically killed while flight instructing in Alabama Summer 1979. Do you remember where you were the day you found out? Remember how it hit us all so hard because no one is supposed to die that young? Remember how some of us tried to get a scholarship started in his name a few years later? But we had just started our careers and didn’t have much to give yet we wanted to do something?

I’ve taken the lead to get this scholarship started and have invested in an annual scholarship in Mark’s name. I’d like to go one step further and endow the Mark Goris Memorial Aviation Scholarship.
