Why We Need Your Help!

Donations from ND Day will be used to help the team fund our presence at more conferences throughout the world. As one can imagine travel to and from our conferences is expensive and our lodging while at the conference is even more so. The club currently struggles to bring half of the current club to a conference every year and we would like to change that. NDMUN is also looking to go to more conferences at top schools such as: Cornell, U Chicago, and Wash. U in STL! Your donation will help us reach that goal! Your donation will also help us fund our new annual high school Model UN conference NDMUN (now in its second year!). With your donation you can truly help our club spread the spirit of Notre Dame around the country and the world.

How NDMUN Affects Its Members

"NDMUN provides a unique opportunity to immerse myself with driven peers who share my passion for international relations. Together, while traveling and competing across the country, we build relationships and share ideas that can make a real-world impact. NDMUN also gives me the opportunity to widen my perspective of cultures, ideologies, and political systems and allows me to delve deeper into topics that are not always discussed in a classroom setting" -Alex Yom '20

What We Do

The Model United Nations Club of Notre Dame also known as NDMUN, is the official Model UN team of the University of Notre Dame. NDMUN competes against other top ranks schools at Model UN conferences throughout the country. Traditionally NDMUN has competed annually in the American Model United Nations Conference in Chicago and the Harvard National Model United Nations in Boston. Not only does the team compete against other top rated schools from around the world, NDMUN also hosts a high school model UN conference by the same year. in its inaugural year (2017), NDMUN I brought 300 high school students from around the country to campus for a 3 day conference in February. Through competition against other schools, and hosting a high school Model UN conference on campus, NDMUN spreads to spirit of Notre Dame around the country and the world!

What is Model UN?

Model United Nations is an activity in which students typically play the role of delegates to the UN and simulate real UN committees. Students meet at conference hosted by college and high schools throughout the country (including Notre Dame!) to participate in the activity. At these conferences, conferences, students compete to be the "Best Delegate" in their committee, which requires the student to expertly use their researching, public speaking, debating, and writing, critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership skills!
