Description

NAMI-ND is a student-led club that tackles mental health issues at Notre Dame by raising awareness, educating our campus community, supporting our fellow students, promoting various services, and advocating for this important cause. Our club is open to all students, whether they live with a mental health condition, know a family member or friend who has been affected by mental illness, or have an interest in mental health. We aim to address the mental health needs of all students so that they may have a positive, successful, and rewarding college experience. Find us on Facebook for more information and pictures of what we do!

Donations are applied to...

NAMI-ND has the opportunity to earn a portion of a $1 Million! What would that money go toward? In short, it would be used to promote mental health on campus and in the community. Specifically, we would use it to fund our events in Mental Illness Awareness Week, Mental Well-Being Awareness Week, and any other mental health programming we can bring to Notre Dame! Last year, that included a lecture series and Send Silence Packing, a touring suicide awareness display, among other efforts. It would help us immensely if you would vote for us! To support NAMI-ND, make a $10 gift on or before Notre Dame Day (April 24 – 25), and receive 5 votes to cast. The total number of votes we receive decides our percentage of the $1 Million. Thank you for your consideration!

Personal Message

NAMI-ND is excited to be participating in Notre Dame Day, when the global Notre Dame family will come together to celebrate what each of us loves most about the University. For us, that means promoting mental health on campus and in the community!

Why are donations necessary?

NAMI-ND is a very active club that does its best to bring great programs to Notre Dame to spread awareness of mental illness and show support for those who have been affected by it. We host two major weeks (Irish State of MiND: Mental Illness Awareness Week in the fall semester, and Irish Peace of MiND: Mental Well-Being Awareness Week in the spring semester) in addition to other major events. This past year, that included a lecture series as well as Send Silence Packing. Because of the costs associated with all this programming, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations you would generously make!
