The California Initiative will multiply opportunities for our students to gain experiential learning and find rewarding career opportunities. Gifts to the California Initiative will fund internship stipends for students working in California, as well as fund specific student groups on career treks to California. Gifts will also be used to support faculty outreach to California companies that will further research and curriculum development.

Notre Dame and California belong together. California is a microcosm of the world and of the future. The University of Notre Dame–California Initiative will provide a two-way exchange to facilitate the flow of talent between South Bend and the West Coast with the intention of aggressively seeding California with Notre Dame talent, creativity, and mission-driven values. Students will be able to engage in internships, career opportunities, and research. These opportunities extend to our alumni and friends. The initiative will multiply opportunities to create and develop ideas for the good of society through entrepreneurship—a way to test concepts and move them to commercialization.
Why are donations necessary?
Much like a start-up company, the California Initiative needs seed funding to continue to expand programs throughout the state.
