About 1842 Day
1842 Day is Villanova's first-ever day of giving. This is our opportunity to show pride and gratitude for the impact Villanova has on each of us, in our communities and around the world. Alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends—let's make a difference TOGETHER!
Our Goal
We need your help to reach 1,842 donors in 1,842 minutes, between 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19 and 6:42 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20 (EDT). Whether you give $5, $175 or $1,842, your generosity will count toward achieving our goal.
NROTC
Villanova University has a long and storied history of Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) excellence, having produced 24 Navy Admirals and Marine Corps Generals—a number unrivaled by any other civilian institution.
The NROTC Program develops midshipmen mentally, morally and physically, and instills the highest ideals of duty and loyalty. The outcome: Villanova graduates are commissioned as Navy Ensigns or Marine Corps Second Lieutenants who uphold the core values of Honor, Courage and Commitment, and are prepared to assume the highest responsibilities of command, citizenship, and government.
Villanova’s NROTC program hosts several activities throughout the year—the largest of which is the annual Military Excellence Competition (MEC), which attracts more than 900 participants from across the nation.
Your gift on 1842 Day will support our Battalion of Midshipmen, enhancing their resources in order to continue our proud tradition of Naval excellence.
