The LIVE Notre Dame Day broadcast will kick-off at 18:42 pm ET (6:42 pm ET) on April 23rd at NOTREDAMEDAY.ND.EDU. The 29-hour broadcast will showcase Notre Dame stories from around the world, as well as live interviews, special musical performances, remotes, in-studio performances and surprise celebrity guests. For ND Day 2017, we have ambitious goals to make our home-away-from-home the best it can be. We will be using our donations to improve the Notre Dame experience for our residents, particularly through three projects. O'Neill Hall's signature event, the Miss ND Pageant, is quickly gaining popularity, and this year it raised over $1500 for the South Bend Center for the Homeless. We would like to keep this momentum going and improve it for next year. We would also like to purchase new lounge furniture, as much of it has not been replaced since the dorm opened in 1996; we are also interested in updating our workout equipment.
O'Neill Hall
O'Neill Hall, the first and best dorm on West Quad, is home to the Angry Mob. Along with Keough, we are the spiritual descendants of Grace Hall, whose residents moved here when it was converted to an office building. We are well-known around campus for our signature events, the Miss ND Pageant and Recess, as well as for our air conditioning.
Why are donations necessary?
ND Day is an important means for the Angry Mob to make sure our dorm stays up-to-date. Last year, we raised over $4000 and were able to replace some of our dated furniture. This year, we hope to do even better.
