This showcase is crucial to our students' success and education as actors. Both the showcase and the workshops offer countless chances for students to learn from professionals and to make connections with those already performing in "the business".

$20,000 may seem like a lot of money -- and it is! Your donations will go towards renting a theatre in New York City for rehearsals, and shows, tuition fees for students taking workshops through Actors Connection (a educational & networking studio for professional actors), a hotel for the duration of our stay in New York, and flights for 16 graduating seniors, 2-3 professors, and our band.
Personal Message
As some of you know, Oakland University's graduating Musical Theatre BFA students are granted the opportunity to perform a showcase both on Oakland's campus, and for agents and managers in an off-Broadway venue in New York City.
We are so grateful that for the past ten years, graduating seniors have been able to go to New York and perform in this showcase (as well as attend various acting workshops thanks to Actor's Connection). With your support, we can continue to provide this opportunity now and in the future.

We are forever grateful for any and all donations. The Senior Showcase is seen as the "final exam" for graduating Musical Theatre BFA students, and with your help, we can keep this 10+ year tradition going!

Why are donations necessary?
Oakland University's Musical Theatre program is one of the top programs in the state, and is growing in reputation in New York. Our showcase is one of the major ways we represent our name. With this showcase, we are able to continue to positively portray Oakland, and stay competitive with other big name universities.
