All of us at Pancake Peeps want to genuinely thank you for taking the time to learn more about our mission and vision. We believe change comes when we come together to love on one another, so we'd like to invite you to not only contribute financially but to come experience Pancake Peeps for yourself. Yes, we make pancakes. But it is so much more than that! Treasured relationships and emotional connections have emerged and continue to shape lives.
Every Saturday, we serve pancakes to over 150 people! Among these people are veterans, differently- abled, children, mothers, and fathers. So THANK YOU! Just by clicking thus far, has made you a huge part of that change! It is people like YOU who make what we do possible.
Pancake Peeps exists to bring awareness to homelessness by bridging the gap between those who are privileged with homes, careers, and education with the underserved population in San Diego. Every Saturday, members of the community come together to share a meal with those in need at the corner of 14th and K Streets in downtown San Diego for free. Your support in helping us purchase supplies goes beyond providing a meal to someone in need, it also provides faith, health services, and compassion to those who need it most. All gifts made to Pancake Peeps are 100% tax deductible.
All donations will be applied to the weekly supplies that will sustain Pancake Peeps for 1 year and will allow us to focus on bringing different resources downtown. The best pancakes are prepared to the preference of the people we serve - usually having different toppings each week including fruit, chocolate chips and even different caricatures for the many kids we serve. The Starbucks on Linda Vista also sponsors us by providing a portion of our coffee every week.
A lot of times, volunteers spend a lot of our own money on supplies, so thank you for providing us with the necessary resources that will allow us to stop focusing so much on fundraising and allow us to focus on helping those that need it most. Our goal is to bridge relationships and provide the resources necessary to equip them with the already available resources that will help them become self-sufficient and your donation will allow us to do that.
Your support will allow us to purchase the supplies that give us a platform to foster connections between the privileged and underserved population in San Diego. We offer the free meal in hopes that the people who come will stay and allow us to provide a safe space for co-learning from our mutual experiences. This, in turn, brings awareness to the issue of homelessness and leaves those volunteering uncomfortable with the injustices these people face every day.
