All great stories begin with a journey. Ours began 132 years ago with a sketch club that has transformed into a celebrated college of art and design, the Kansas City Art Institute (KCAI).
Today, students choose KCAI because we offer an experience that allows students to realize their full potential. We do this by providing a rigorous curriculum, robust internship program, and access to cutting-edge technology that’s designed for the 21st-century student.

Students also choose KCAI because of generous scholarship support. We provide financial aid and scholarships to more than 95% of students, because we know that affordability is a real issue for families. Scholarships give students the help they need to graduate and go on to have thriving careers as architects, professors, graphic designers, furniture makers, curators, and college presidents. In fact, KCAI alumni currently work in all of these professions plus many more.

Take the Parent’s Peak Challenge and pledge to give $100 while your student is at KCAI!
$10 Freshman Year │ $20 Sophomore Year │ $30 Junior Year │ $40 Senior Year
KCAI will send you a yearly reminder. Parents who take part in the Challenge receive a gift when their pledge is fulfilled and, upon graduating, their student will be listed in the Alumni Honor Roll as a 5-year donor to the Annual Fund.
