About 1842 Day

1842 Day is Villanova's first-ever day of giving. This is our opportunity to show pride and gratitude for the impact Villanova has on each of us, in our communities and around the world. Alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends—let's make a difference TOGETHER!

Our Goal

We need your help to reach 1,842 donors in 1,842 minutes, between 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19 and 6:42 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20 (EDT). Whether you give $5, $175 or $1,842, your generosity will count toward achieving our goal.

Performing Arts Center

As part of the revitalization plan for the campus south of Lancaster Avenue, the construction of a Performing Arts Center will provide a hub for creativity, engagement and exploration that stands out among peer schools. It will transform the University’s landscape physically and culturally, and will enhance educational opportunities across disciplines.

The Performing Arts Center will include two main performance spaces: a 400-seat proscenium theater and a 200-seat courtyard theatre. Additional spaces include a performance lab, classrooms, dance studio, music and theater rehearsal rooms, costume and scenery shops, a box office and multiple venues for special events. Built in a highly visible and easily accessible location—at the corner of Lancaster and Ithan avenues—the Center will unite students, parents, alumni and friends of Villanova under one roof to share their passion for the arts.

A $60 million project, the Performing Arts Center will be funded entirely through philanthropic gifts. We need your support to bring this vision to reality.

Your Impact

Your contributions will result in more dollars for our students and programs, strengthen our national reputation and bolster the unprecedented success of For the Greater Great®: The Villanova Campaign to Ignite Change.
