Sailing Club, University of Notre Dame/Saint Mary's College

We are excited to announce our participation in Notre Dame Day, when the global Notre Dame family will come together to celebrate what each of us loves most about the University. The sailing team is a co-ed club sport at Notre Dame that competes with other colleges throughout the Midwest and the United States. Founded in 1947, the team draws members from all parts of the country and continues to uphold a tradition of sailing excellence year after year. The team is continually a competitive member of the Midwest Collegiate Sailing Association (MCSA) and regattas take us from California to New York, Florida to Michigan, and everywhere in between. In fact, we just qualified for the Women's National Intercollegiate Sailing Championship, and we are competing at co-ed qualifiers this weekend!! As a club, it is our aim to promote interest in the sport of sailing through lessons and intercollegiate racing while enhancing the educational experience and reflecting the mission of our University.

Why are donations necessary?

Thanks for checking out the sailing club! We would very much appreciate any votes or donations you could give us! The team recently qualified for the women's ICSA national championship and this weekend we are trying to qualify for the coed ICSA national championship. We are raising money in an attempt to fund our travels to Charleston, SC to participate in these national regattas in late May, which is a cost outside of our normal budget.
