Description

This fall, student-athletes and coaches from Southwest Minnesota State University will be performing four hours of community service for people in Marshall. Much of this work will consist of raking leaves and doing yard work. This community service project will be provided to people who are unable to do their own lawn care. Proceeds from the Workathon will help supplement our athletic budgets while providing a free service to our local community. Pledges made on behalf of a student-athlete or coach will go to their respective sport. Your tax deductible gift may be made online via this donation page. If you would like more information on how to give offline visit smsumustangs.com/workathon. Thank you for your much needed support. We believe this activity will benefit the community as well as our student-athletes.

Quote from Coach Dunn

“Our team looks forward to the annual work-a-thon because it provides an opportunity to give back to the community and lend a helping hand to those in need. SMSU athletics is committed to being active members in the community and we are very proud to be a part of that culture.” Coach Dunn

SMSU Workathon

“We enjoy being able to go out into the Marshall community and do service projects. Our team takes pride in being to help others, interact with members of the community, and have fun while doing it.” Mackenzie Clouse, Senior

Why are donations necessary?

The money raised from the work-a-thon is used to help fund our spring break trip to Florida. This trip is the first time we are able to enjoy being outside after a long, cold winter, and play some great competition to prepare us for conference play. We sincerely appreciate everyone’s support and would not be able to achieve our goals without it!
