Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey and has been a strategically important city throughout its history. As a transcontinental city in Eurasia, the commercial and historical center lies on the European side and a third of the city's population lies on the Asian side. Notre Dame's Study Abroad offers the opportunity to study in Istanbul through an exchange program for a semester or a year at Koç University. Koç University welcomes students from all over the world and you will find yourself in a diverse and interesting academic environment. With over 400 faculty and approximately 5,000 undergraduate students, Koç University has a rich and friendly academic environment.
