Description

This fall, student-athletes and coaches from Southwest Minnesota State University will be performing four hours of community service for people in Marshall. Much of this work will consist of raking leaves and doing yard work. This community service project will be provided to people who are unable to do their own lawn care. Proceeds from the Workathon will help supplement our athletic budgets while providing a free service to our local community. Pledges made on behalf of a student-athlete or coach will go to their respective sport. Your tax deductible gift may be made online via this donation page. If you would like more information on how to give offline visit smsumustangs.com/workathon. Thank you for your much needed support. We believe this activity will benefit the community as well as our student-athletes.

Quote from Coach Henning

"We love going out in the community and helping folks that support us throughout the year by assisting them with their lawn up-keep. It allows the community to meet and engage with our student-athletes which they really enjoy and they deeply appreciate the work that we do. Its an awesome way for us to give back to the community that has given us so much. We are extremely appreciative of those that feel so inclined to donate to this fundraiser."

SMSU Tennis Workathon

"The annual workathon is something we look forward to each year because its a great team-bonding event as well as a way for us to get involved with and give back to the community of Marshall." -- Gabby Tellijohn, Owatonna, Minn. (SMSU Tennis Student-Athlete)
