Help OU's Gold Vibrations Compete in NY

Have you seen the infamous movie Pitch Perfect? That’s us... and after many tournaments this season, we're ranked as one of the 10 best a cappella groups in the world... right here in Rochester, MI!

Plus, we're a diverse group of students. While Gold Vibrations does have a few of Oakland University's finest music students, most of us major in different fields. From, IT to education to engineering and business studies, we all have different focuses (both inside and outside of school), are different ages, and are in different years of their educational paths. Our immense love and appreciation for music is the magnet that brings us together.

Thanks so much for any donation you make. We are blessed with the most supportive friends, family, and fans and could not be more grateful.

Donations are applied to...

Raised funds will support the 18-person a cappella group, Gold Vibrations, with their round-trip airfare to New York, hotel accommodations and meals. Funds raised beyond expenses required for the tournament will be used to record music.

A Cappella Passion at Oakland University!

Each year, the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) brings together thousands of singers from schools around the globe. For 2016, that's: 5176 College Singers, 341 College Groups and 50 ICAA Competitions!

OU’s a cappella group, Gold Vibrations, will represent the Great Lakes Region in the ICCA final on April 30 at New York City’s Beacon Theatre. The Group is one of only 10 schools internationally to earn a spot in the final competition for ICCA’s top prize, the Gooding Cup.

Why are donations necessary?

Gold Vibrations is honored to have made the world a cappella finals. While progressing from tournament-after-tournament this year, our funds depleted. We now ask for your support to show the world how OU shines. We’re bringing our school to Broadway. That is after we raise more funds needed to get our 18-person group to NY.
