Description

The Bald and The Beautiful is an entirely student-led event dedicated to raising funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research. Every year, we host a 3-day event in April as well as several smaller events where students shave their heads, donate at least eight inches of hair and/or purchase colored hair extensions. These activities support the St. Baldrick's Foundation, Pantene Beautiful Lengths, and Memorial Children's Hospital of South Bend. Over the past seven years, we have raised nearly $265,000 to support the St. Baldrick's Foundation and Memorial Children's Hospital. At our last week, we raised an additional $20,000! To learn more about our mission, visit bald.nd.edu. The LIVE Notre Dame Day broadcast will kick-off at 18:42 pm ET (6:42 pm ET) on April 24 at NOTREDAMEDAY.ND.EDU. The 29-hour broadcast will showcase Notre Dame stories from around the world, as well as live interviews, special musical performances, remotes, in-studio performances and surprise celebrity guests. Please spread the word and help us earn votes! Follow the celebration on social media with #NDday.

The Bald and the Beautiful Club

We are excited to announce our participation in Notre Dame Day, when the global Notre Dame family will come together to celebrate what each of us loves most about the University. Support TBAB in our efforts to raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research.

Why are donations necessary?

According to the St. Baldrick's Foundation, more children are lost to cancer in the U.S. than any other disease—in fact, more than many other childhood diseases combined. We want to help change this fact! By donating today to help us cover the cost of our events, you will bring us closer to this goal.
