Over the next months, Global Medical Brigades students at the University of San Diego will prepare for travels abroad to both Honduras and Ghana to serve those less fortunate. Although our in-country experiences (beginning in Honduras in January 2017) will last no more than several days, we hope to saturate the lives of those within impoverished communities with free access to essential healthcare clinics, clean water, sustainable living conditions, and a rippling sense of empowered independence.

With these generous donations, you will directly impact our current and future communities in need by helping us pay for:
~The time of both local and abroad physicians/dentists
~Medical supplies: from toothbrushes to shampoo, to cough and allergy pills, and local anesthetic for dental patients
~Domestic necessities for families: concrete floors to replace those of dirt/mud, latrines, toilets, etc.
~Our ability to travel and provide educational seminars for community members of all ages, reinforcing a society of learning, communication, and collaboration in all means related to health.

Why are donations necessary?
As an entirely student-run organization, team fundraising is essential to a brigade's success. With your help, we are not only able to physically arrive in-country and prescribe medications. We are able to provide intangible antidotes: knowledge, empowerment, and motivation, all of which catalyze a positivley-changing community.
