Out-of-state travel for a largely self-funded club can be very expensive, and thus all donations on this platform will go directly to the many travel costs we will face for our players and coach. This includes flights, lodging arrangements, and transportation at the tournament. It will also help cover the tournament entry fee, and any other travel-related expenses we may incur. Personal Message
Hello! Thanks for visiting the USD Women's Club Volleyball Team's fundraising page. We are a competitive collegiate club volleyball team that is part of the Southern California Collegiate Volleyball League, with a team comprised of fourteen players and one coach. Together we travel and compete against other schools in tournaments all over Southern California and occasionally out-of-state as well. Intense practice schedules allow us to refine our skills, and the drive and dedication of our players has allowed us to significantly improve as a team and grow as a program since our founding at the University of San Diego. In many cases, we did not expect to have the chance to continue our competitive volleyball careers beyond high school in such a manageable but competitive capacity, however, were lucky enough to come across this wonderful program and league at USD that allows us to do just that. Our goal next semester is to participate in the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation's annual tournament, hosted in Kansas City, MO. This opportunity would allow us to prove ourselves and make a name for USD at the National Collegiate level for Club Volleyball. As a largely self-funded club, we have never been able to attend this event in years past. However, your donations and support will potentially allow us to achieve this goal and continue to participate in our league at the highest level. Why are donations necessary?
As a team that travels extensively for tournaments both in Southern California and out-of-state, we must continually work to fundraise and financially support ourselves. We have never been able to afford to attend this tournament before, but have always wanted to get the chance to prove ourselves at the highest level of play among the many National Collegiate Club Volleyball teams. Instead of pursuing this funding by increasing dues which may hinder participation in the program, we hope to be able to raise enough money through this platform to help us achieve our goals. Any support is greatly appreciated!
