Our Mission

The mission of the Vietnamese Student Association is to promote Vietnamese culture and heritage at Notre Dame. VSA hopes to accomplish this by having events throughout the year which includes Vietnamese food, lectures, research talks, cultural dances and skits, and Mass. In addition, VSA organizes the Anh Chi Em program, a family program that fosters bonding and community for Notre Dame students.

Donations and Rewards

How it works: You start by donating any amount that you wish, minimum $10, to VSA or any other club of your choice. With your donation, you will receive 5 votes, which you then can cast towards any club, including, again, VSA. For each vote, Notre Dame will give to that club a certain percentage of 1 million dollars (depending on how many votes are cast in total). Last year, 1 vote was worth approximately $18. Therefore, if you donated $10, and then cast all 5 of your votes to VSA, we would receive:---------------------------------From you: $10-------------------------------------------------------------From ND: 5 votes x $18 = $90 ----------------------------------------------- Total: $100 for VSA, but all you spent is $10! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vietnamese Student Association of Notre Dame

Our VSA recognizes the importance of standing in solidarity with all marginalized members of society. As a Notre Dame club, the Vietnamese Student Association wants to make a difference, and so we have committed to donating at least 50% of all our proceeds from Notre Dame Day to the Catalyst Project, a non-profit organization that helps build communities in Vietnam to fight human trafficking. In addition to providing disadvantaged children the basics of education, food, and safety, your donation will also support club events. Some of these include: 1) Vietnamese Cultural Events, where we make and serve traditional Vietnamese dishes, 2) Anh Chi Em activities, our “Big Brother/Sister Sibling Program”, and 3) our annual Vietnamese cultural show, “Notre Dame by Night."

Thank You

All of your support means a lot to us. Supporting VSA of Notre Dame allows us to share our culture to the Notre Dame family! Share the word with your family and friends! The Vietnamese Student Association will receive funds based on the percentage of votes that the area receives during Notre Dame Day.
