Why Give to Scholarships at Westchester Community College?
Westchester Community College is the largest educational institution in Westchester County and hosts SUNY's largest ESL program. The College serves over 34,000 students each year from surrounding communities and internationally. While the WCC Foundation was able to award over $1.5 million in scholarship aid last year, this only provides for 65% of the students who apply for the support. With your help, WCC hopes to increase that amount through this campaign in order to better meet the needs of our deserving students. The College hopes to grant the wish of every student who applies for a scholarship and meets the eligibility requirements.
Did You Know...
$23,800 is the median income for the family of a WCC student who are eligible for federal student aid. Although the $4,300 annual tuition fee has not been increased in years, the cost of tuition is almost 20% of the average annual household income.students who express financial need.

The WCC Foundation’s Dollars for Scholars campaign is a week-long fundraising effort that gives you the opportunity to change the lives of Westchester Community College students. Opportunity can be granted by someone like you who believes in the power of education to transform the lives our our students. These students will one day become the lawyers, entrepreneurs, nurses, computer technicians, or teachers of our very own community.
With your help, we hope to raise $100,000 in scholarship aid! However, the success of our campaign will truly be based on the number of those who participate. An anonymous donor has agreed to match half of every gift we receive, up to $25,000! Please help us reach our goal by giving your best gift before Tuesday, June 7, 2016. A gift of any size counts!
