LEO believes that academic researchers, service providers and policymakers all play a critical role in ending poverty. LEO matches top researchers with passionate leaders in social service agencies to conduct impact evaluations that identify the innovative, effective and scalable programs and policies that help people move permanently out of poverty.
LEO is undertaking several new initiatives to further our academic and organizational capacity including the LEO Scholars Program - an academic and experiential program in which, alongside academic coursework, undergraduates would conduct research evaluations and work directly with agencies to implement proven programs.
Our current evaluations span a wide range of anti-poverty initiatives including homelessness, food security, community college completion, juvenile recidivism, and refugee resettlement. Most social service agencies already are constrained for resources - LEO will not limit these programs by requesting compensation from agencies. In turn, LEO operates off of grants, endowments, and gifts from generous donors. The LEO Team greatly appreciates your support!
